Ego tools are great --save for the string trimmers. The powerload thing is a really slick feature i love. The optional shoulder strap accessory becomes mandatory. Definitely wear eye protection, and long sleeves/pants.

This replaces a high-end gas model from a major commercial manufacturer. This unit is much quieter and does not have all the fumes.

Customer service is nonexistent. The warranty on this unit is 5 years and ego is not standing behind their product. Thank you for treating customers right, amazon.

The string is 1 1/2 inches above ground level and the trimmer must be tilted at an extreme angle to trim virtually anything. If you tilt it too much, it scalps the grass. I love my ego mower and hedge trimmer but this product is not a fitting addition...  Read More

The automatic loader is a great idea, but they need to fix the loading problem. Lineiq is a huge misnomer - it neither feeds string as needed nor is easy to load. Not easy to reload either.
