Weight
Customers find the weight of the pole saw kit to be a positive aspect, describing it as light but powerful and easy to handle at full extension. Some customers have mentioned that they prefer its lightness compared to heavier alternatives with metal poles.
Battery Performance
Customers are highly satisfied with the battery performance of the EGO PS1001 Telescopic LED Cut Line Indicator Pole Saw Kit, praising its long battery life, power, and ability to cut through branches quickly. Some users have compared it favorably to gas-powered alternatives, noting its lightweight convenience. However, a small number of customers reported issues with the battery not lasting as long as expected.
Safety
Customers generally have positive opinions about the safety features of the product, with some expressing concerns for equipment care and the need for recommended oil checks. The pole saw's smooth operation and quietness are noted as added safety benefits, while others appreciate its reach and elimination of gas usage. Some customers also recommend getting extensions for additional height. However, a few customers have expressed concerns about the product being dangerous and difficult to use, and caution against off-gassing Chinese products.

Chain Tightening Mechanism
Customers have positive feedback regarding the new chain tightening mechanism, which they find easier to use compared to older models. However, some users mentioned that the chain may pop off occasionally but still consider it a welcome addition. The carbon fiber shaft is also praised for its rigidity and lifetime guarantee. Despite being more expensive than competitors, customers are satisfied with the tool's cutting capabilities and ease of use, especially when using extensions for reaching higher branches. Some users suggest keeping an eye on chain tension to prevent loosening.
Highlights
Quality
Light and easy to use, would feel comfortable climbing an 8' ladder to reach higher branches.
Cuts very smooth, and fast, feels light, used it on a ladder without feeling like it would make me unbalanced read more
Buzzed through a few 5 inch cuts like it was nothing.
This is a dangerous and difficult answer to a limb and trim problem.
Price
Have always be pleased with price, effectiveness, and in one case customer service.
I paid for this product with my own money and am receiving nothing in return for this review.
So i was happy when the 1001 came out, and even happier when i could grab the kit for $100 off during the last black friday sale.
Caught the deal for $299 with battery.
Shipping
It seems odd not to ship with bar/ chain oil in a container, and it’s not recommended in a single description or review.
The saw arrived yesterday, assembly was quite simple.
I for one love to use things when they arrive so if you read this, order oil at the same time if you don’t have any.
Competitiveness
It worked a lot better than my previous ryobi 40v.
I'm glad that ego came out with this much improved model.
Zero regret not purchasing the multi tool, have had bad experiences with competitors multi tools become loose over the years.
