Pros & Cons
Pros
Is adustable from control panel. Easy to maneuver and lighter than a gas powered version.
Came to me undamaged from amazon during shipping and very easy to assemble. Has performed great.
This snowblower always starts. The torque of the electric motor driving the augers really comes through. Unlike previous snowblowers i have where i had to offset my runs enough not to overload the intake.
When cranked all the way up on turbo, it throws the sierra cement at least 25', more if the snow is lighter. The city snowplow makes a considerable ridge at the end of our driveway and this snow blower went through it quite easily. The plow often come... Read More
Ego lawn mower and hedge trimmer are battery powered.
Cons
Getting to the motor/gear unit requires almost complete disassembly of the complete thrower. The electric motor just keeps delivering power, with enough low-end torque to jam the gearbox and destroy it.
Failed on 8th use after 20 min operation. Called support. Was asked to send failure video.

Noe: the ryobi 2-stage sb was $2000 w/tax and uses 4 batteries.

I , however bought it in the spring because of the on sale price.
Shipping
Came to me undamaged from amazon during shipping and very easy to assemble.
Has helped us navigate our first northern idaho winter.
It took about three weeks to get it delivered to my house.
Competitiveness
I had previous oe-stage ego snowblower - this is much better.
No exaggeration, i went through 8 pairs of aftermarket batteries trying to find ones that work for less money than the ego brand.
The higher capacity batteries will have competition later this year and drop in price.

I suspected this would happen so only a little disappointed and am looking forward to using it on fresh powdered snow which looks like that is all it is good for
