Used this converter to bypass my roof shark fin antenna. Bought standard magnetic base xm antenna and with this adapter plugged the connector it in the back of the radio. Plugged everything in and instantly had xm reception again.

You will need to unclip that square plastic casing then youll be able to simply plug in your new antenna to this adapter then the adapter to the back of your radio

Reception now is great with magnetic antenna sitting on the dash with some double sided tape
