Changed to all new, fresh batteries and it worked.

They are easy to use with and an on/off switch on the back and a talk push button on the side.

I don't see them holding up to a lot of throwing or stomping over time, but they are just plastic walkie talkies.

My almost five year old was having trouble understanding that you press the button to talk and release to listen.

These walkie talkies are surprisingly clear and fun to use for the price.

Very cute will definitely make a nice christmas gift but before you wrap it and put it under that tree open it and put in some batterys !
