I would recommend elantris over mistborn and it coming quite close to the stormlight archive quality i was used to.
I am ever surprised and pleased by the magic systems that sanderson creates.
I spend too much time trying to figure out what the pronunciation would be that i get off track with the story.
It wasn’t until i read the stormlight archive books that i became obsessed with the cosmere and determined to read them all.

I bought the mass market thinking it was the 10th anniversary edition but no that edition which is the official canon version now is only on trade paperback and hardcover and that is a corrected version of the original book making the mass market paperback cosmerewise obsolete so make sure if you want the final product get the trade paperback or the hardcover

The first time i tried to read elantris i gave up less than a quarter of the way through

The story is pretty slow to start and progress but it wasn’t in any way a detriment to the novel

It also wasn’t as present as i’d expect from a high fantasy novel–but again i don’t think this detracted from the novel
