Fans considering reading this coming from reading sandersons stormlight archive should know that the general quality of this book is definitely lower than that of the archive books but that should not deter them from reading this first published entry into the cosmere

Then ten years ago something terrible happened and they lost their powers and became zombie like beings with no heartbeat

This would happen overnight to randomly selected people from the neighboring city of kae and other neighbouring lands and the following day they would be thrown into elantris never to escape supposedly
