Unfortunately, the plastic for the buttons broke over time and, despite all my efforts, i couldn't repair them.
Price
As i got it less than half price i can live with these annoyances, as aside that it is very good to use for many hours continuously.
It is 100 percent worth doing this bearing swap with the huge.
All in though, 'for the price' it's an acceptable device.
Shipping
If elecom had shipped it with these new bearings i would happily recommend it all day long.
Competitiveness
Overall this trackball is much better than i expected, and much better than my logitech m570.

The only problem ive found with the software is that it doesnt let the wheelmiddle button function as one when its running even though it says it is middleclick

Its satisfyingly heavy with rubber feet so it wont slide around too much either

The huge is now my primary input device and the mouse occasionally comes out when i want to rest my trackball fingers for a while

Unfortunately it appears that you cant load the device with presets but need to run the software in the systray for the extra button mappings to work
