Pros & Cons
Pros
This trackball is a definite recommend! I think that's a reasonable durability for daily use as someone who works from home at their computer every day. From amazon;we encourage you to revise your review and submit it again. They seem indestrtuctible ... Read More
The ball itself is silky smooth - every bit as good as logitech. I also agree with the other reviewers that the logitech marble has less friction, and swapping one into this product improves it. The hole underneath the mouse to pop the ball out is big... Read More
Fast/normal cursor speed switch is very handy. Sometimes we need to move slowly for finer detail. Center scroll wheel has a bit of a wiggle left and right before you hit the actual scroll.
Cons
The carrier that supports the scroll wheel is very flimsy and it broke. This renders the scrollwheel inoperable. Un-plugging and re- plugging the mouse fixes the issue, but it's beyond annoying and renders this mouse unusable. I have to unistall and r... Read More
The elecom trackball is almost unusable.
Your cursor jumps around quite unacceptably. For instance the cursor jumps as much as two characters when attempting tiny moves. The glaring issue is that the roller ball sticks.
The whole advertising for this is all about how ergonomic and comfortable it is to use. The downside of this is my hand becomes fatigued since i can't rest my fingers on the switches.
Highlights
Quality
The build quality is great and i really like the low-high resolution modes.

Packaging/appearance
No name packaging with no literature for a start.
No real cost savings over the logitech, so whenthis one croaks, will probably go back to the m570.
Competitiveness
I bought this after my m570 left-click stopped working.
So overall i'm really happy and would go with elecom again.
(google elecom trackballs and visit their website ).
Logitech m570, while of similar price point, feels better built and better look through better design.
