Pros
Deft pro feels a little large, but i also know that i will adjust over time and think this will reduce cramping. With the new bearing, the ball movement is silky/smooth. Scroll wheel on this is great as well.
This is the closest thing i could find to my old logitech. Personalization of shortcuts is excellent.
Ymmv. I like the design language, the bottom layout and how it fit into my palm. The one with the x has a multi-language manual and packaging.

This is my goto pointing device, the trackball and buttons work, don't prematurely clog, the battery lasts a reasonably long time.
The physical design and functionality is fantastic.
This trackball doesn't have any onboard memory, so any button remapping is done computer-side.
This new upright ergonomic design just made trackballs a whole lot better!
Price
In this price range, they should use a good heavy ball.

Packaging/appearance
The one with the x has a multi-language manual and packaging.
The pack of g5 i got was not all the same roundness/shape, so naturally i picked the 3 biggest/roundest ones and put in the housing.

The software is usable and quite a bit better than no-name chinese brands, but it's still lacking.

When i would move the trackball a certain direction it would make a screeching noise

Opening the mouse does require a hex screwdriver tweezers and disconnecting two wires so this may not be for everyone

There is still some micro 34jitter34 when attempting to do precise movements but thats not the reason why you buy a trackball

Im using steermouse on the mac to remap keys and to alternatively use the ball for scrolling
