Unfortunately, the plastic for the buttons broke over time and, despite all my efforts, i couldn't repair them.
Price
As i got it less than half price i can live with these annoyances, as aside that it is very good to use for many hours continuously.
It is 100 percent worth doing this bearing swap with the huge.
All in though, 'for the price' it's an acceptable device.
Shipping
If elecom had shipped it with these new bearings i would happily recommend it all day long.
Competitiveness
Overall this trackball is much better than i expected, and much better than my logitech m570.

My one criticism is that it doesnt sit completely flat on the desk

It has four rubber pads underneath and it seems the two middle ones are slightly higher than the end ones causing it to rock subtly1mm movement at the end

This doesnt interfere with using the mouse at all as it only rocks when i take my hand on and off it not during use
