Mine worked flawlessly out of the box.
Pros:- it works right out of the box on my windows 10 home computer.

I bought this to replace a logitech m570 wireless trackball that i handed down with my old laptop.
I've tried one of the bluetooth elecom trackball for a bit and it was hot garbage.

After 12 years of using logitech trackballs exclusively they lost my support because they are wasting peoples money by not offering replacement batteries for the mx ergo and the batteries appear to fail after 2 years

Ive been a right handed trackball user for over 20 years and the functionality of these elecom mice is as good or better then the comparable logitech versions

Need to download the win10 driver and each usb dongle is 1 to 1 only 1 mouse per and not interchangeable

I have the onoff switch set to low theres also high and off and have seen no drastic change in responsiveness to an m570
