Great software and user interface, quick to learn how to use and the quality of the printer are superb.
I've mainly stuck to using the elegoo resins and the detail and time-to-print is night-and-day with my fdm on the smaller model... Read More
The elegoo resin is very low odour and the quality looks injection molded.
Price
Grab a bargain while theyre on sale !
I couldn’t afford the flashy ones however, this one suits my needs perfectly.
For the price, this thing is so much bang for your buck.
Now the price of these printers and resin have come down, us normal people can aford them.

Competitiveness
This is my second mars printer, so interesting to compare one from 2018 to one from 2020.
I picked a mars up from an alternative marketplace and essentially fell in love.

This is my first foray into 3d printing and i have been humming and harring for some time over wether or not resin printers were worth the money i have even managed to get 75 of a filament 3d printer together for less than £20 and am just waiting on another motor and some connecting blocks when i saw the price of these printers had come down far enough that it was worth another look

I am soooooo glad i did as the level of detail in the prints from this machine is mind blowing the printer itself is childs play to use however learning to get good prints without any failures might take you some time

The problems do not lie with the printer which works flawlessly out of the box but with figuring out how to add the right ammount and mositions of the supports for the model

Even some of the pre supported premium models need some tweaking usually but the frustration of the failed prints is overshadowed by how much fun it is to 3d print anything this good

Remember to buy some resin when you buy this printer as it does not come with any also some extra nitrile gloves some isopropyl alcohol and a vapour level filter will stand you in good stead

As for cleaning you will need some 90 alcohol a toothbrush and a container with a sealable lid to clean the parts in if you have a ultrasonic cleaner this will help to make the parts really clean after the alcohol has disolved the excess uncured resin from the surfaces

It seems like its not going to do anything buy you will see the current slice being printed on the screen and the first layer takes about 60 seconds to print after that it goes a lot faster but you wont be able to see anything hanging from the print plate until at least 20 or so layers have printed so just be patient

Having owned this printer for a while now i can safely say it is brilliant the only worrying thing when using it is that i felt a small buzzing sensation in my fingers when ever i touched the printers housing i latter used my multi meter and found the power supply passes 120v ac to the case however the current is limited to 100 micro amps the only concerning thing is it doesnt take much to go wrong in a power supply of such stature to allow the full 230v through which would hurt if you buy this printer then just keep in mind the power supply provided is not correctly isolated from the main live and can leak current and potentially be fatal if a component where to fail in the power supply
