Pros & Cons
Pros
My last ice cream maker pales in comparison to this new one. Very quiet compared to my old one. I expect this leaking issue will decrease or go away all together after a few more uses. The good news is; this is quieter, has an on/off switch, the motor... Read More
Cons
The freezer canister is very thin gage aluminum that will dent at the slightest impact. The motor could handle a firmer churn, but the way this one is manufactured does not.
The wooden bucket leaks like a sieve. As the ice cream starts to thicken, the plastic lid just slips off. It makes a sloppy milkshake-like consistency.
This product is expensive, but useless. Just not worth the hassle. It really is just a dud. Opt for something else.
This is an amazon issue because they are not packing this into a shipping box. They instead use the box that the item comes in which is designed for pallet stack shipping only.
Highlights
Quality
6qt ice cream churn very well made, i think it will last for a long time
The churn works perfectly and is huge!
Initially it seemed that most of the parts that came with the freezer were lightweight and cheaply made.
We filled wood bucket with water 3 times before using the first time and it never held water!

Shipping
I finally called amazon customer service, and was relayed to a product support tech who sent a message to the company asking th... Read More
Packaging/appearance
The box arrived but two of the screws on the wood tub were missing.
Mine arrived with a pretty decent sized gap between 2 of the boards, it does say to soak it while its 2 thirds fill of water fo... Read More
Competitiveness
Our ice cream is better than store bought.
That said, it definitely is more cool than buying ice cream directly, and tastes/texture is going to be substantially better.
