This kettle sits on a base that has the cord attached to it. It also has a cool-touch handle and automatic shut-off for safety.

Works as advertised. No complaint about this product.

It has a pleasing blue light and it bubbles up quite nicely. Like the light indicator when heating.

Cons

The lever you push to turn it on never stays down. It pops back up (turns off) immediately or 10 seconds in to heating, maybe 30 seconds into heating. The cord is also relatively short so it does not extend very far.
