Pros

It safely shuts off power after the water boils. The lid fits nice even with an infuser basket. This kettle does what it says.

I understand that nothing is perfect, but this little dude makes me happy. Finally decided to buy this one. Good quality. The approach is stylish.

It heats quickly--before she forgets! Heats to 212 in about 4m. It is incredibly easy to use and heats up very quickly.

Cons

The lid seems like it is going to be a problem. The mechanism to open the lid feels cheap. Seems like a hazard. The electric kettle is a fire hazard.
