Pros
The only downfall for this application is that the adjustment is a sensor based temperature switch. Works well, but it's not 750w. It's great because i can move around and when i fell and hurt my knee during the holidays.
I use it to heat up my coconut coals for my hookah. It only takes maybe five minutes before they're completely lit. Took 30 minutes to boil water.
Cons
It goes from 0 to inferno very quickly as well. A pot sits sideways on this thing. It shuts off for so long that the water stops boiling!
The description says it's a 750 watt hot plate. The back of the cooktop clearly states that it is 1000w.
