Pros

This makes really good steamed vegetables! Cooked perfectly in 20 minutes. Great for steaming vegetables. While i can do a lot with just a microwave, it's nice to be able to steam vegetables once in a while.

I wish it had a digital timer but for the price it's a steal. Would recommend the elite gourmet steamer. Am very satisfied.

Small so it doesn't take up a lot of space on my countertop. Fits easily in a drawer. Compact container, but holds enough veggies for 4 servings.

Cons

The plastic is melting allowing the conformity to happen. There is also a round plastic disc that rests in the bottom of the container but does not snap in. It just rests there. Returned 1st one for plastic lid not fitting plastic basket at all.

Water fill marks inside the water chamber are almost impossible to see even in bright, direct light.

Out of package i was disappointed to find that the lid didn’t fit at all.

Note: when i unpacked it, i thought the steaming container was warped.
