Pros

Transparent lid makes it easy to see what's going on in the freezer. Comes with a gelato recipe book.

Easy for daily preparation of softserve for hubby and me. If you are new to making ice cream this is a great starter one. Very nice old fashioned ice cream maker.

Cons

The unit is cute, but worthless as an ice cream maker. Save yourself some cleanup and do not buy this. Based on the design it's not even worth replacing and trying again. This thing is now worthless to me.
