Pros

The mantra i would always hear is ‘buy the cheapest strings you like and change often’. Tone valued around octaves on my eight string. If anyone is new to changing your guitar strings and has not tried elixir strings, i heartily recommend this brand.

Polyweb vs nanoweb. The nanowebs are a little brighter which is nice for cleans but i prefer the warmth of the polyweb for distorted tones. As far as feel is concerned, nanoweb feels closer to an uncoated string.

Cons

Tension is way off coming from d'addario strings. I seriously question the extra longevity claimed. Evidently high e string was used, wrapped back up, placed back into packaging, returned and sold to me.
