I have a sensitive antique clock that hangs on a brick wall if it is moved slightly the clock will stop

Normally small nails are used to prevent movement however not on a brick wall

Because they are in close proximity to each other the slightest deviation of any canvas from straight becomes readily and annoyingly apparent to the eye
