I certainly have fewer start up programs on my lap top than on my desktop, but i am very satisfied with the new performance.

I received it in the mail and cloned the drive and i am quite impressed with the speed and ease of installation.

So again i am happy with the product at 256 gb and 300 mb read.

I am definitely going to replace my second drive eventually, hopefully with the 1tb version.

Competitiveness

First off if you are coming from a sshd or hdd setup, 300 mbps is still fast.

It's reliable, fast and cool in temp, i use it as my boot drive and have a 2tb hdd for other purposes.

I recently bought a refurbished dell lattitude e6420 laptop from dell's refurbished website that came with a 320gb drive.

For bootup into windows 7 pro 64-bit on this laptop, from power on until the login screen appears is approximately 23 seconds.
