The only downside is the battery life is super short.

The mug works well, but the app is a disaster. The app never connects nor finds the device 90% of the time. Has trouble pairing and staying connected.
This mug seems like a prototype. Many of the design flaws would be revealed by a few 10's of users trying copies of the prototype. Broke after a few weeks. Customization is a joke.
The temperature maximum is only 145 degrees. My thermometer confirms what i already knew. The white ember is tiny and barely holds a 10oz cup of coffee (smaller than a tall at starbucks) overall, very pricey for a months worth of hot tea.
Not ideal, but passable. Replacement is $402. Warranty is only 1 year for a $120 mug!
Battery life on the mug is awful - less than an hour. Recharging the mug takes even longer. However, its battery life is horrendous, it says it lasts 1hr, that's a lie! Will not recharge on the base when full.

The inside of the mug developed scratch marks early on from stirring but operation is unaffected.
Suddenly the heating element won’t kick in and the app crashes every time i reach the set temp at which it should warm my bev.
