You must supply your own aaa batteries for the md30 which is not an issue because shoprite often has eveready or rayovac alakalines on sale for 13 cents each in packs of 20 or more

The first press of the power button is a bright spot light

When i first tried to install the batteries i thought something was wrong because the last battery stuck up from the case not like most flashlight that are flush

Unfortunately the red function is only flashing so you cant use it for low level light at night
