I used it as a pre cleanse on a cotton pad and removed the majority of my makeup then followed with the blueberry soy exfoliating cleanser which i leave on for several minutes before wiping off with a warm wash cloth

I think pre cleanses are important when you wear makeup and many of eminence cleansers are pretty gentle yet effective skin food but not good at removing all makeup
