The high dome lid is perfect for letting bread rise. The lid is heavy and it fits perfectly on the bottom piece. It's a great cast iron for baking bread as it describes.

If you don't want to spend $$$ on a fancy name brand dutch oven, this one is just perfect.
This is a great pan at a fraction of the cost of other cast iron bread bakers.
Price is pretty average for this size.
For the price point, you can't go wrong with this pot.

Don't need to spend hundreds of dollars on the brand name products since it does work the same in my opinion.
I prefer this dutch oven more than my traditional dutch oven.

It is shallow with a domed lid great for baking bread but you can also fit taller meats such as a whole roasting chicken or a ham as long as there is not an abundance of juice

The only difference in this pan and other dutch ovens is that the lid is deeper than the bottom portion of the pan allowing space for bread to rise
