Pros & Cons

Update Pros and Cons
The AI used to provide these results are constantly improving. These results might change.

Pros

The suction is good and the flexible nozzle allows greater contact with molten solder. The plunger also cleans out what was * before very very effectively.

Works pretty decent on 63/37 mix, standard pcb,no hole thru plating. I sometimes scavenge parts of old circuit boards or have to do rework. One-handed operation, flexible nosepiece for better seal. Length of silicone tubing for nosepiece replacement.

Cons

It clogs, jams, becomes utterly worthless. The silicone nozzle clogs after each use.

The ss-02 will fail at the worst moment possible. It is very time consuming to fix it every time it quits working. Right now, it eats up a lot of time and money being unreliable.

The silicone tip and machined piston just suck up a ton of solder, and the hardened puck it spits out is easily ejected.

It saves time, effort, & yields better results than the cheaper alternatives.

So i cannot compare this to other solder suckers with which i have no experience.

I think this form factor is the original and now there are other branded versions of this on amazon.
