Pros

High end semi-sweet chocolate chips. They are yummy and we use mini chips a lot. Otherwise, these chocolate chips are a staple in our house.

This chocolate is perfect for anyone baking for a vegan and/or someone with food allergies or intolerances. My 15 year old loves baking and has been doing it a ton more because of the pandemic. They are perfect for baking and pancakes.

As someone with sever nut allergies and gluten allergies, finding safe chocolate is a challenge. I am so glad that they are allergen free since i am allergic to milk and soy.

Cons

The 5lb bag came with a black and white label that does not resemble typical enjoy life labeling. On amazon it lists 'unsweetened chocolate, sugar' which is not accurate. The most disappointing thing is the chocolate tastes old and is definitely more ... Read More

I’m grateful for a company that produces quality chocolate without soy lecithin!

This is also evidenced with the relatively low melting temp of the chips, ie in the palm of your hand.

Price

Five pounds of “enjoy life” mini chips at this price is awesome!

If they were still the same price i purchased them at (as opposed to almost $50), i'd certainly be purchasing them again.

The price was not cheaper than buying individual bags from the store.

I love these but the price is ridiculous.

Packaging/appearance

And i like the reduced packaging of a 5 lb bag.

Arrives in one large plastic bag (not in standard packaging) so may not be ok for severely allergic people.

There are limits to what good packaging can protect against.

Competitiveness

I've never had an alergic reaction to this brand, not even in the bulk 5lb bag.
