To give you all possible options, they also included a charger so those in the us, can take full advantage of the 18650 battery.
It has multiple o-rings to exclude water.
It is powered by one 18650 battery and a rechargeable one is included, along with a wall charger.

Even though the flashlight can run on the rechargeable battery it can also run off of three aaa batteries

I had to use pliers to get it open
