Pros

This is the second epicurean cutting board i've purchased. We have a small brown board like this one and it hasn't shown any signs of disintegrating. The claims of eco-friendliness and bacteria resistance are true.

This size (18 x 13) lets me put it over one basin of my kitchen double basin sink. It's different than your normal plastic or wood board in that it is a very hard surface that creates a louder clacking sound.

It still fits in the dishwasher very nicely. Does not seem to be dulling my knife blade any. Once i learned to stop trying to be paul bunyan, that knife has stayed sharp for months.

Cons

Epicurean cutting board is just as good terrible) as a cheap plastic one. This is, uh, not knife friendly. I had a bamboo board for 5+ yrs, it has lots of knife mark but not one so deep that exposed the inner part of the wood. This board smells terrib... Read More

The best cutting board i've ever had!

Its light, gentle on knives, and never absorbs smells or flavors of food that has been on it.

I finally got tired of all the maintenance required to keep a wooden cutting board in good shape, and tried it.

Price

I really like these boards, but that doesn't mean i think the its price of $30 is justified.

The only unfortunate thing is their prices.

The color was true as shown which was important to matching my countertop.

Competitiveness

We also have glass cutting boards (countertop savers) but the board is always better, as things won't slide around.
