My older ones do have small cuts in them from years of use but it doesnt make it harder to wash and i never see anything left in them after the dishwasher cleans them

I struggle a little with the texture of it when im cutting with a very sharp knife but im pretty sure no one else in the universe is going to have that issue

By the way the awful smell from the protective coating does go away
