Pros & Cons

Update Pros and Cons
The AI used to provide these results are constantly improving. These results might change.

Pros

The peel is slightly rough and holds onto a minimum of flour well. When i make a pizza, i sprinkle the peel liberally with corn meal and the pizza slides right on to my stone in a 500 degree oven.

One of the item pics posted in the listing shows these with the colored plastic/rubber handles. For a stronger handle, a riveted (double thick) handle is offered here on amazon.

Cons

This pizza peel emits a strong chemical odor when wet. As soon as it gets wet it has an awful formaldehyde smell that permeates the food. Even worse, the odor gets on the food!

Tried to pick up a 14" round pie and it flopped over the sides and ingredients fell off.

After a decade of use, mine still looks like nearly-new, and i've used it for hundreds of pizzas.

Competitiveness

Regardless of comparisons, this peel works flawlessly for my roccbox.

A few months ago i began purchasing different brand that no longer comes with the cardboard.

Bought this as alternative to the gozney roccbox peel that came with the oven.

At nearly half again more than the "standard" version, its getting up in that range where other options start to really begin l...  Read More

We had a similar pizza peel we purchase from william sonoma almost 10 years ago that we love we needed a second one but i didn’t want to spend 50

Size is good for small to medium pizzas

I suspect you could fit a 1234 round easily and probably a 1434 round

This peel far outperforms the gozney mainly because the gozney peel is slotted and loses some of the cornmeal to stop sticking

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I saw that some complained about an odor i didnt notice it myself

But i did clean it well before using it so maybe that made a difference

One hint is to line the steel with parchment then cornmeal then pizza

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Pop the parchment onto the pizza steel or stone whatever you’re using
