Now four stars from one i did go and buy a new canon cartridge, but it turns out i didn't need to, so my stupidity cost me 80.

I did not notice the pull tab on the side .

No issues with it and it is a lot less expensive than the name brand.
Works exactly as original equipment at a fraction of the cost.
This toner has worked just as well, if not better, than the canon brand.

This is my second purchase of this toner cartridge and although i bought it a couple months ago i just installed it yesterday because the first one lasted far longer than i expected at least 2000 pages at lightest setting and of course it ran out as i was printing a 30page document

Printing has been consistent on every page without fail although large patches of black tend to be uneven like the black square on a usps media mail label

It says in instructions on the box lid and on the small sheet of paper inside the cartridge bag to remove the black film from the cartridge

The next item is there is no mention of what to do with the orange tab with the obvious ringpull that protects gearing on the side

I know from previous experience that it has to be removed but a firsttime buyer might not especially if theyve never replaced a toner cartridge before cartridge wont go in with it on which could lead to frustrated buyers thinking the cart doesnt fit their printer

You can sometimes get some extra life by removing the cartridge and shaking it sidetoside lightly but theres no guarantee
