Pros

This is organic and fair trade certified. This company seems more committed than most to directly impacting the lives of it's small-scale farmers and producers. It sounds like i’m a shill for the product, but it really is my favorite!

There is a crispiness to the bite that feels great (not waxy like cheaper chocolates) full of flavor just the right ammout of sweetness. Good acid, nice fermentation notes, balanced bitterness.

Cons

This is the second time that i've ordered equal exchange extra dark chocolate bars through amazon (westlake is the 3rd party) and the chocolate was inedible. There were only 9 bars in the package instead of 12. These were sold old and only 11 bars not... Read More

Chocolate is brittle and color is off, whitish. Sometimes it tastes flavorless, brittle and waxy.

This order was discolored and hard. It is ineligible for return so there is no recourse for me.
