Pros & Cons

Update Pros and Cons

Pros

Bolt on, no modifications. The shafts are thicker, the mounting screws are 3 times thicker than the originals. They are so convenient to pop out when putting the rack in the hatchback.

Easy, quick, solid results and far cheaper than replacement marshall castor parts. Other casters don't have the fit and finish; they have rough edges and cheap chrome versus nickel. Ernie ball caster set also includes screws.

Used it for my champ 100, 5 years strong. Just bought again for my hot rod deville. Installed these onto my fender frontman 212. Works great for guitar amp cabinets. I have a bath katana 100 mkii head with the matching boss katana 212 speaker cabinet....  Read More

Cons

Ernie ball makes some awesome instruments and pedals and i'm a fan of the company but this product just will not do. They get the job done, for about a year.

Quality

I have an old fender rumble 150, 1x15 combo and these are pretty much an exact replacement for the ones that came with the amp.

Not a bad run for a ton of gigs over the last 20 years with the thing.

I had to swap the factory socket with the ernie ball, which required me to drill the front socket holes out just a little, the ...  Read More

This was a project but im happy w it.

Packaging/appearance

These casters fit snugly in the receptical.

Competitiveness

I have a 60lb 200 watt bass amp, and the wheels make it way easier to push it around instead of carrying it, which is good for my back.

I bought these 13 years ago to install on a very beefy 12u equipment rack i built out of wood.

These casters and sockets are more heavy-duty than the oem casters made for this cabinet.

I would always recommend 4inch rubber casters, but if you don't roll it outside very often then it doesn't matter.
