The tone is awesome. They are very bright, but not in an annoying tinny kind of way.
Cons
These are really bad on my yamaha a1r. Very buzzy with an oil drum sounding quality, almost a slight resonator sound. But dont expect campfire low tones like cheap drump. These strings caused by bridge to sink and destroyed my guitar.

I tried these out and was pleased with the sound.
And the ernie ball strings are of high quality and affordable.
More so than with the other two strings brands i mentioned.

I never used to use ernie balls much because early on for some reason i got the impression they were mostly an electric guitar string company

Well im an acoustic guymy main axes are a rosewood martin dread and a gibson sj made of mahoganyand i was getting really sick of my strings dying every couple weeks so i thought id give these a try
