Pros & Cons
Pros
These super slinky are a lighter gauge than i usually buy. They are slightly heavier than the normal 5 string gauges. The feel on these strings is considerably soft and smooth. Helps me keep my fretting hand nice and relaxed.
Ernie ball strings are the industry standard for musicians and bass players alike. Me personally i keep my bass in drop b or drop a so these strings are perfect for that. These strings give my bass that clancky badass metal tone that i've been looking... Read More
Cons
The diameter of the string is way thinner on the first fret. They list on the back a bunch of heavy metal bands that have boring bassists with no complexity to their tone. The 6-string long scale pack doesn't work well with multi-scaled basses like my... Read More
The tone is bad as is the constant skriching noise caused by the outer winding. After a week they just die. Dead lifeless. Its a really shame.
Highlights
Quality
Same great sound and quality every time!
I always love the sound and quality of the strings totally recommend!
Rusty and low e string broke on installation.
Didn’t even get them in tune and one string broke.
Price
Best strings for the price hands down.
But great strings for the price point overall
Shipping
Those strings have gotten hard to get and, with shipping, are expensive.
Competitiveness
I've always used ernie ball on my electric guitarist but when i bought a six-string bass and decided to try them over some other brands.
I’ve experienced a lot of different string a long of these years and i can say that ernieball is better fit for me.

If youre playing daily or a few times a week then youll probably end up with dull strings in a little under a month

The tone is good but i also dont put too much stock in string brands for tone as most of it is coming from the player and i dont obsess over that part on bass
