Quality
Build quality is comparable to b+w mrc nano xs-pro and hoya hd.
This is a good (not top shelf, but sufficient for most use) quality filter, no problem achieving results.
The quality is second to none irrespective of price.
The attached scene was shot with the 77mm esddi 10-stop nd filter (10 sec exposure) and without it (1/200 sec exposure) for comparison.
Price
As for the price, you can't beat it!
Not sure what the regular price is but at under $10 this is a super bargain.
Because of the low price, i bought this nd filter solely for solar photography.
Packaging/appearance
I ordered the esddi 10 stop nd filter to use with my 24-120 f/4 lens on my d810, and figured for 20 bucks it was a steal.
Competitiveness
Using it with nikon d850 and various lenses.
Perfect for long exposure shooting in the day at a fraction of the price of the high end name brand.
Light reduction is closer to 860x than 1000x at least for the filter i received.
I was shooting with a nikon d7200, which uses a dx sized sensor.

Yes you cant really pay less but you can pay way more and not get this quality filter there is a bit of color change and a bit less contrast but that can be adjusted in a good image program

Yes its coated on both sides not sure if it has 8 layers and since its made in china cant say 100 that it is german schott b270 optical glass as they can say anything and cant prove it

But again for 26 it can be way worse of a nd 1000 filter

I can say 2 of these would have been way too much as with 18 stops the sun could not be seen even in live view

With some manual camera adjustments achieving 3060 second exposure in bright conditions you will get no sign of overexposing of the photo
