Pros & Cons
Pros
The double filters can also help you calibrate your grinder. I hate sludge in the bottom of my cup, so a coffee grinder that could do a coarse grind was essential.
Espro's insulated carafe keeps coffee nice and hot, as opposed to the presses with the glass carafe. The brewing process is simple and efficient, allowing for a rich and full-bodied flavor.
French presses need more grounds for the same amount of coffee, because they're ground coarse and use a shorter brewing time. A simple workaround is just pour the entire presses contents into a 20 oz yeti tumbler.
Cons
I am confounded by this product. It scratches easily and the scratches can't be removed. Way too pricey for something like this.
Coffee stops brewing after being plunged. Does not press all the way down, wasting a significant portion of brewed coffee. Design flaw with mesh filter.
It's no warmer than if he's just left it in a mug on the counter. All other coffee must be microwaved in order to be hot after about 20 minutes.
Highlights
Quality
Working great , significantly improved the performance of my old coffee press good insulation as well
It's sturdy and will seem to last quite a while.
Bought this to replace a glass french press i had broke after about 10 years of use.
Coffee grains do not seep through like other presses.
Price
Totally worth the money spent on it.
Makes the best cup of coffee you can make at home for the cost -get off the fence - just buy it and you will not regret!
The cost is steep, but when you consider the number of cups you'll make and drink over time, it is well worth it.
I bit pricier than i planned, but i won't be replacing this one anytime soon.
Shipping
Thank you for the prompt delivery and accurate descriptions.
I contacted the company directly and they’re sending me a new one free of charge.
I’ve made coffee onboard ship and at home.
Packaging/appearance
The boxes look similar but will say where they were designed, so you’ll know which version you got when you receive it.
Competitiveness
Didn’t like it at first compared to the dip coffee maker, but after a couple times i really started tasting the difference.
By comparison, the espro filters clean very easily.
