It was still in warranty and so i contacted esr customer support and they were super helpful and quick.
:(customer service sent me a new one after seeing my review.
Updated: april 06, 2023esr support promptly contacted me and offered a replacement or refund.

Also tried my andriod with a large magnetic plate at the back but it doesnt work at all
