Kickstand works great both horizontally and vertically. Inside of the case is textured to provide resistance for the phone from moving or slipping out. Kickstand makes an unexpected bump in the rear.

This one is a keeper. The kickstand is solid metal and is the sturdiest i've seen to date. The case is heavy duty and durable.
