It has a 2 4 and 8 hour setting and i appreciate the auto shut off so if it runs out of water it turns off and the motor doesnt burn up

The mist button toggles from on to 2 hour timer to 4 hour timer to 8 hour timer to off when you press the button the indicator lights toggle between low and high intensity and off when the unit is off
