Pros & Cons
Pros
Use one for chopping, the other for roots and bones. Leather wrapped handle is good looking as well as functional. Well balanced for a consistent throw.
There are also divots and other imperfections in the steel, but they shouldn't affect the function.
This hatchet is well made and sturdy. It's bigger than a standart camp hatchet and lighter than an axe. The blue one has a nicer gloss finish.
Its too heavy for backpacking but an awesome, dependable tool. My battle field is the campground, so don't get too wound up. It's won't replace an axe for splitting a cord of wood, but it certainly will split wood for your campfire well enough.
Cons
It has a sheath but it is very cumbersome to unsheath it. Blade brinells as dead soft steel. Dried paint drips even on the finish.

Quality
This hatchet is well made and sturdy.
This is light enough for any of our family to use, sturdy, and well built.
The all metal handle takes a lot of abuse and miss-throws that slap the axe against a stump and let’s you dial in your distance.
The rubber rips and breaks down upon impact.

A great price for a hand made in the usa tool.
Thanks amazon for the $31 price, helpin poor folks make it!
