Pros & Cons
Pros
Estwing hammer is very sturdy, with a comfortable grip. The rubber handle is practical, the leather handle is beautiful. It feels just as good in the hand as my vaughan hammer except the vaughan has a plug in the head which helps vibration.
Nail pulling is easy and the balance is perfect for job. It really shines with smaller nails and brads. Had to fix fence at the ranch.
Cons
The handle is flaking bits of blue plastic everywhere for some reason. Really disappointing and a waste of my time.
Highlights
Quality
Excellent hammer- sturdy-good weight— expect it will last for life
Well engineered, one solid piece construction, heavy weight hammer.
The etched 16 oz on the side also disappears after frequent use.
The grip really sets this hammer apart from the rest.
Price
Yes, it is costly, but you simply get what you pay for and this is worth the difference.
