Forget the wooden and plastic handles this axe puts them to shame it cuts limbs off trees like a dream anything less then 3 inches and you can cleave them off in one swing

However its down fall is its light so it does not have the splitting power of a heavy axe works prefect on dry pine and juniper not so well on oak that has any knots

I bought it because the shaft is metal and i was tired of trying to secure my old axe head to the wooden handle it kept flying off

This axe weighs around 3 lbs so its not something you would take into the backcountry with you which is a shame because you would never have to worry about this thing breaking
