Great tool for the rock hound. My kids and i enjoy rock hounding as a hobby. This rock pic is pretty sweet.
A must-have tool for rockhounds and paleontologists. My son is a geologist and my hubby was always borrowing this from him. The geo/paleo rock pick is one of the most important tools i have.
The padded handle is nice. Perfect size for backpacking.

It's on the internet forever. Amp; will last you a lifetime. It also saves hours of time breaking up placer.
Cons
The axe-head is welded on. I'm a career geologist and this is the first time i've been disappointed in an estwing product. Returning this product is such a hassle i will remove the covering.

The head is about a foot from blade to pick and the handle is a bit more than two feet long
