Pros
This is a tool that you can hand down to your son for him to use and cherish. A milled face is the hammer striking surface or face that has been milled to have a toothed or grip type striking surface. A nicely made tool, suited to purpose.
Cons
Hammer is nice except one significant bent handle. Returned as defective, and exchanged for rubber handle.

So there's a lot of extra value in this tool that makes it worth more than just the additional cost.
Didn't want to fork out the >$100 for the anniversary edition.
Packaging/appearance
The packaging was perfect and the pick size was perfect for rock and fossil hunting.
Great pick, received another one since the fist ona came dented.

One end is pointed for prying though ive also used it to lightly crack a rock either for sizing or just to see whats inside
