Pros

Installing on a used reel was simple 2-bolt operation. The esun refills are easy to use with the esun clear two part reels, just a couple of nuts & bolts to remove/replace and you are good to go once you pull the straps.

I also appreciate that the refill roll comes at a reduced price.

I love the gray pla pro (pla+) and am happy to report that the "refill" is a viable option that can save you some money.

If you have the old ones, this can save a dollar or two, though waiting for a sale is a better bet.

For the price difference it is a million times better.

Packaging/appearance

They are obviously now making it in different places as can be seen by the packaging and quality now has definitely suffered.

Competitiveness

Now these are impossible to find, but the pla is the same great quality.

For me, this is my favorite premium filament a price that's better than hatchbox, plus with less plastic waste (the spools).

I have had numerous problems with the refill products offered by esun especially the grey.

Is that e-sun spools are 2 piece, bolted together, instead of the normal 1 piece spools most companies use.
