Pros & Cons

Update Pros and Cons

Pros

It prints smooth, almost zero stringing, fantastic layer adhesion, and has a sheen finish that is amazing. Seems to print fine on prusa mk3s+.

Cons

Basically useless prints with nothing salvageable. Petg is very finicky and there is a small window of success when it comes to setting your slicer.

Complete uselessness. Life is too short to fiddle to death with this. This is worse than pla.

Spool-winding is trash, but it’s not something i have to worry about because of how i’ve set up my spool-feeder. Tried replacing the nozzle.

This stuff is alarmingly brittle and shatters apart. Bridging is virtually impossible. Shrinkage and deformation is worse than other petg material. Petg has a flex and this material snaps and fractures before it bends.

Now i have another brand and it's working way better. Going back to hatchbox. Definitely a problem with this filament.

Highlights

Quality

Quality is excellent as is layer adhesion.

Very smooth surface finish and no stringing!

It adheres too well to the default buildplate on an ender 3 v2.

Good for applications that require higher strength or heat resistance.

Price

I usually stick to premium filaments that generally come with a premium price.

Packaging/appearance

My issue is i received it sealed with desiccant inside, so it had to already have a lot of moisture when packed.

Spools come vacuum bagged and i haven't experienced any moisture issues.

Competitiveness

This seems to seems to print as well or better than other petg brands i've tried.

Though i have not tried as many petg filaments as i have pla, i think this product works quite well.

It's significantly stronger than pla but it's just as easy to print.

Prints well compared with other petg filaments i've tried.
