Pros & Cons
Pros
The deep black matte is fantastic. The colour is a nice shade of beige, maybe a little darker than i'd like for skulls but it's perfect for fossils or practical prints. Produces very strong prints that can handle the outdoors.
Cons
Go with eryone or matchbox or amazon3d. I am not ok with this being hidden from me and i am not ok with the cheaper flimsy thin cardboard they are using. I'm not happy with this as my reason for buying more filament is that my existing filament was ru... Read More
If i try to use a roll that has been sitting for a while (in a sealed environment with desiccant packs) it's a bit of a mess to get it going. It's not spooled correctly, leading to failed prints. All 3 clog at least once per print.
And it just frustrates me from using my 3d printer. I think i'm switching to another provider now.
Highlights
Quality
Having used this brand for a long time with consistently high quality results, i can recommend it.
Printed without issues and the parts produced are tough.
No stringing and pops right off the plate once cooled.
This filament comes on a cheap cardboard reel.
Price
And definitely at the affordable price point of esun it’s amazing.
Very expensive i got it in the deal not tested yet
Shipping
Quick delivery of quality filament when i needed it.
Got ship from the complete opposite side of the country (bc to nl) literally opposite sides, in less than on day, like took 18-20 hours.
No complaints about the product even though it was delivered a day late (not esuns fault but amazon's.
Packaging/appearance
Pic showed bone white, order said bone white, invoice shows bone white, filament is green.
I ordered a roll, and one came in a damaged box.
But arrived in good packaging and the evofriend cardboard spool, is a welcomed addition to esun.
Competitiveness
Good layer adhesion, and print quality is comparable to other pla+ i have in my collection.
Much more forgiving and easy to use than most other filament brands.
Purposely breaking a copy of the dwarfs axe, i found it had decent layer adhesion, comparable to my usual pla+ brands.
